LEADERSHIP

Holly Hancock, Founder and Chief Executive Director

Holly graduated from Michigan State University and spent 15 years in Technology and Healthcare sales before deciding to follow her heart and create the hospital apparel that Holly's Heart distributes.  She has a passion for helping people and wants patients of all ages to have a better medical experience.  In 2015, she and her husband, John, moved to Texas from Nashville.  In her spare time, she enjoys playing with their two spoiled dogs, traveling and trying new restaurants.

Jill Alden, Secretary

Jill is Holly's youngest sister. To say “they go way back” is no coincidence! They talk at least a handful of times a week and have grown closer as the years continue. Jill currently resides in Illinois with her husband, two daughters and dog. She works as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner and strives to make a positive impact on patients and their families, similar to Holly‘s Heart. In her spare time, she loves to spend time with family and bake cookies.

Anne Currie, Board Member

As an adult congenital heart patient herself, Anne knows how  easy it is to feel isolated or alone. Sometimes, it's hard to find anyone that can relate so she knew the second she met Holly she had found a heart friend for life.  Anne has worn countless gowns and knows how important having another option can be.  She is so grateful to be able to spread the word and good work Holly’s Heart is doing.  Anne currently lives in Austin, Texas and when she’s not spending time with friends and family she’s brainstorming where to travel next!

Andrea Dieckmann, Director of Operations

Andi and Holly grew up together in Michigan. While never living in the same city as adults, they have always found ways to get together, whether for trips to the Indy 500, Jimmy Buffet concerts, or enjoying fajitas and margs in Austin. Andi has watched Holly conceptualize and build Holly's Heart in recent years and is honored to be supporting this mission. She lives in Chicago-land with her husband, three delightful children, and a crazy Bernedoodle.

Kate Gibbons, Treasurer

Kate Gibbons is Holly’s middle sister.  She is a longtime advocate and firm believer of Holly’s mission to bring smiles to patients by providing comfortable and functional hospital attire. She joins the board with great pride in Holly and the patented garments that Holly created based on her own experience as a patient.  Kate lives in Chicago with her husband and two sons where she works as a Private Wealth Advisor.  She loves spending time with family and friends, and traveling to new places.

John Hancock, Board Member

John met Holly while working at Dell in Nashville.  They were married in 2007 and have been bringing out the best in each other ever since.  Before beginning his career in Technology sales, John attended Western Kentucky University, or as he calls it the Harvard of the western part of the state.  He is a Veteran of the US Army and is passionate about caring for veterans and their families who fight selflessly for our freedom.  In his free time, John enjoys pickleball, working out, and the beach.

Sarah Krayer, Board Member

Sarah met Holly through friends in Nashville, and while they initially bonded over their mutual love for dessert, they quickly discovered they had more in common, specifically navigating their difficult health challenges (HLHS for Holly and Multiple  Sclerosis for Sarah). They also both share a desire to overcome by maintaining a positive attitude through expressing gratitude, giving back to others, and focusing on the present. Sarah is thrilled to be on the Holly’s Heart team, which brings joy and love to those in the midst of their own personal health battles. Originally from Milwaukee, WI, Sarah has lived in Nashville for the past 14 years with her husband and their two children. Sarah’s background is in Human Resources and Electronic Medical Records; she currently enjoys being a stay-at-home parent to her kids and loves music, lake life, and the outdoors.

Andy Kucich, Board Member

Andy was born and raised in Chicago, IL. He attended Indiana University, majoring in Healthcare Management and Policy. He has spent the previous eight years in the nonprofit space as a fundraiser. Currently, he works in tech sales, working directly with nonprofits. After learning about Holly’s Heart and the amazing work they do, Andy is honored to work alongside the team as they expand their reach and impact. He still lives in Chicago with his wife, Molly, son, Declan, and labrador, Scooby! In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, and running!

Sarah Moench, Board Member

Over 15 years ago, Sarah had the honor of meeting Holly in New Orleans for the very first time. It was one of those “when you know, you know” friendships and despite living in different cities and states over the years, they were able to grow their friendship and now they get to live in the same neighborhood.  While she does not have kids of her own, she is passionate about helping children and jumped at the opportunity to serve with Holly’s Heart. Sarah is a native Texan where she has built a career in Marketing over the past couple of decades. She and her husband (along with their 2 dogs) love spending time exploring this beautiful country, indulging in all the great food the Austin, TX area has to offer and watching their favorite F1 teams.

Laura Thomson, Board Member

Laura and Holly met in a life group at Gateway Church in Austin. They formed a fast friendship and share a love of good food, wine and Jesus. Laura is originally from Iowa but has lived in Austin since 1997 so she considers herself an honorary Texan. She is a nurse and co-owns a recruiting agency with her husband, Will. They have 2 children as well as two crazy dogs. In her free time, Laura loves travel, movies, baking, reading and spending time with family and friends (anywhere, but bonus points if a beach is involved). She is thrilled and honored to be a part of Holly's Heart.
